Injection Molding Process Engineer

Under the direction of the New Product Section Manager, develop new products in a timely manner, achieving company goals for quality, cost, and delivery. Support the assigned manufacturing areas in meeting objectives for productivity, quality, and associate safety.

Responsibilities: 

Develop new products to achieve target for quality level, cycle time, and yield by hands on setup and processing of injection molds. Including building of pick and place robot EOATs and robot programming.

  • Participate in sourcing of new machinery for production needs when necessary.
  • Seek out advancements in technology that will improve I I Stanley's production abilities.
  • Participate in design reviews to review drawings, analyze tooling, and recommend improvements leading to increased productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Attend and participate in New Product Development (NPD) meetings as scheduled.
  • Provide engineering support to New Product development group.
  • Provide engineering support to ALP for current production when needed.
  • Performs other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of immediate supervisor.
Requirements: 

Experience Required:
8-12 years of injection molding processing
Ability to setup, change over and start up injection molding machines
Ability to program pick and place robots
Ability to build end of arm tooling for robots
Knowledge of injection mold structure and understanding of mechanical movements
MS Office software (word, excel, ppt)

Optional Skills:
Knowledge of plastic polymers
Ability to program 6 axis robots
Knowledge of 6 Sigma or 8D processes
Knowledge of Thermoset or BMC Molding Process

Education Required:
B. S. degree in engineering or engineering technology preferred.
High School Diploma with equivalent experience without degree.
